Than there’s the political credibility on providing professional sports entertainments, plus citizenry distraction value from caring about politics. Government tax earnings on: corporate profits; employee wages, player salaries and/or supposed winnings; associated food provider meals during citizenry's day out attending sports events. Professional sports to many peoples’ attendance enthusiasm could be compared to attending religious practices three hundred years ago. Continued enthusiasm for sports: judgements after schooling ends gambling behaviours; hotel alcohol drinking venue; replacement belief of intelligence enthusiasm replacement for academic learning distraction... sports are extremely important for maintaining simple robot intelligence ADHD workforce working class, least responce to improve working conditions and wages employment progress. Humans with repressed thought behaviours are so distracted from life problems, during periods of potential thought on how to improve life, human brains are easily distracted by whatever sport is on show.
Because professional sports are very important to corporate and government revenues and shaping human behaviours, Saturday is a complete day off from work allowing more people to attend sports functions. I state so important to maintain audiences attention, professional sports players are prepared to forgo caring about winning games, instead being prepared to entertain audiences to the best of their talented ability with whatever competitive game acting performances as required by corporate sponsorship entertainment directors instructing players how to play. Professional players no longer need to fear being beaten by younger more physically fitter players, nor fear wearing bodies out to maintain physical performance.

Having real knowledge doesn’t matter compared to feeling on coming anticipation self-rewarded brain chemical endorphins and/or dopamine stimuli at each particular moment as neuron connections reward aspects of conscious awareness of individual believed true data, more individual few words needed to describe data than compared to increased numbers of words to describe cross references chunks of meaningful concepts.
